Ok so I joined this forum for backyard chickens last week and loving reading everyone's questions and the wealth of knowledge shared by all. I posted pics of my three baby Australorps. One is all black, one is black with white spots on the face and one is blue.
My worry is that although the breeder was quite sure (and I understand its not at all easy to sex a 2week old chick) I think I might have a little rooster. The black with white markings one has a larger wattle than the others and slightly thicker legs. Which I know both to be traits of a male chick. However is it possible this chick may just be a week or two older than the others and in fact be female?
So the blue (grey) one is my sweetest fave.she sleeps peacefully on my chest while I watch tv etc. but I am now concerned about the whole gender thing and wondering others opinions. This one is smaller than the other two with thinner legs but has a pinkish wattle . The one which is all black has lots more feathers than the other two also...

Thank you all so much for your help! It is whole heartedly appreciated!

Sorry to say, that is most likely a roo baby. The comb is large and red for that age. Just keep an eye out for crowing around 4-5 weeks. But it is hard to tell
At that age, so best of luck!

Thank you for your suggestion any thoughts on the blue one?
