When I brought home my 3 new button quail I posted pictures on here and my silver button was identified as a female. I'm starting to think she may actually be a male. My other two pairs have been laying eggs almost everyday and the silver one hasn't laid any. Also my two other male buttons haven't crowed since I got a female for both of them but the male with the silver "female" button crows and when he crows another one crows too. I think it's the silver crowing but I haven't seen it. Here are some pictures.

Some females do have bibs hence why it's not used as a gender indication anymore. You have a silver hen there for sure.

In some silver varieties males don't have bibs at all. The best indicator is the pink vent feathers on the silvers to see if you have males.
