Ducks only need the calcium?

no, they also need a source of D3, which is important for all birds I believe. I was just confirming that this is for a duck, as I assumed it was a typing mistake lol

Not all egg/laying issues are a direct result of imbalanced calcium levels. New layers often experience difficulty passing their first few eggs. Feeding a feed designed for ducks along with oyster shells, and allowing birds access outside to absorb sunlight will help ensure adequate Calcium and vitamin D levels.
