Is my female duck about to lay?!? NEED YOUR HELP!

yeah, she laid a perfect egg the first time. and yes I have been giving her crushed oyster shells but it hasn't been long. she does eat them but sometimes they sink to the bottom of her food bowl when she eats. the calcium solution would be much easier but where I live I don't have it available :/ and yeah the first time I gave her a warm bath it did help so I did one yesterday to see if it will help her lay easier. I will make sure to take a video of her and post it here once she starts doing them again.
the oyster shell should be in a separate bowl, always available not added to the food, she may not be getting enough.
If you cant get calcium gluconate, calcium gluconate powder (for people) might be available where you live.

thanks that makes me feel slightly better knowing that it might be her adapting to the changes her body is going through right now. I just wanted to know what is the "normal" behaviour for female ducks when they lay? do they push as much or is it supposed to just pop out easily for them?
mine usually lay early morning so I dont see often, but when they have laid infront of me, they bob their tails up and down a little, sometimes panting if its a big one. Then eventually it comes out. It's uncomfortable for them, and thats normal, but once they have laid a few times and gotten used to it, they will be calmer.

oh if calcium gluconate for people is allowed then I can try that! do you know how much I should put if I add it to her water? and about the oyster shells, I added some in a bowl with water because she doesn't eat them dry and she munched on some and then left it so idk maybe she will come back to them again when she wants?

I dont put it in their water, but for me I couldn't find the calc gluc that everyone else gets, so I bought a human calcium gluconate powder, nothing added in, just pure calcium- and the dosage for people is 1-3 tsp, so I used betwern 1/2 and a full tsp, just sprinkled over a tasty treat. I only do this is she's inactive, lying down, pumping her tail, panting etc, showing signs of being egg bound.

thats awesome! She'll get the hang of it, as long as she has calcium available.
