I have 2 golden comets, and although "she" is colored as if female, I'm having trouble figuring out if one of them is simply the top hen or a 2nd Gen roo. They're almost 10 weeks old & she started greeting the morning with a squawky crow this week.[IMG]

No worries. I need to make a decision quickly, while I have options for rehoming. I live in a neighborhood, so keeping a Roo isn't a possibility. Just stinks bc s/he is my favorite.

I wish I could post an audio file- his (I guess I should start calling him that huh?) crow sounds like a broken kazoo! So far he only lets out 2 each morning & that's it. I went ahead & contacted a few people we know with chickens (and without the restrictions of a neighborhood) to see if we can find this guy a new home.

yes looks like a roo. 2nd generation sex links of any kind or color CAN NOT be color sexed only the F1 cross is color sexable..After that their basically a "mutt".
