Is my gut right???

So, all in all I think the trip went well. I came home with 4 new birds. 1 Cuckoo Maran, 1 Buff Laced Polish, and 2 Ameracanas (which I think are really Easter Eggers). I just hope they are all what I think they are and they are all hens!!!

Cuckoo Maran

Ameracana 1 Her legs are Olive green

Ameracana 2 her legs are slate

Also they are all supposed to be 16 weeks. Please tell me I have what I think I have......

They look lovely...and all look to be pullets and about 16 weeks...except I don't know how to sex the Polish...you're on your own with that one.

Oregon eh? That's funny. I could have picked them out for you.

I presume you know to isolate these birds for at least 2 weeks if not 4 weeks to protect your existing flock.

A lesson I learned the hard way...and make sure they are downwind of your flock and at least 100 feet away....I brought in a coveted breed and had her isolated, but IB carried on the breeze and infected my whole flock.

Lovely birds. I'm happy for you. (I want colored EE layers real bad!)

EDITED TO ADD: Yes, I think they are the breeds he said other than the Ameraucanas are EE's. I have Barred Rocks, and the barring looks more blurry, and I know that Cuckoo Marans have more blurry, ziggy bars than BR's do....so that looks about right to me.

I do know to isolate, however I don't have the room. And my "existing flock" only consists of 4 birds (not that I wouldn't be upset if something happened to them, but I am not going to be at a huge loss). So, I am hoping for the best. What's IB?
I had a really hard time figuring out the difference between the barred and cuckoo in pics before I went, i would think i knew what i was looking for then the next set of pictures threw me off again. Once I got there, he had barred breeds too so I got to see the two together. It is trickey though!

If you can't isolate, be proactive and add probiotics to their feed or water to boost their immune systems. Yogurt, or better yet kefir if you happen to have that, would be an excellent boost. Oh, and as much as I don't like to use them unless absolutely necessary, be sure to keep a good broad spectrum antibiotic on hand just in case.

They are lovely birds and I hope everything works out for you. They all look like hens to me ( I can't tell on the polish, either, though) and what he said they are. You should have a pretty egg basket within a few months. Congrats!
