Is my hen broody?

I think I have a broody hen, Kaycee. She has been sitting on the eggs when I go out to collect them, but when I collect them she puffs up her feathers and clucks loudly ( never pecks). When I take the eggs she goes and plays in the yard with my other five but she hasn't laid an egg for the past month ( she has a small egg that is a tinted color when my other hens lay brown and white eggs). I don't have a rooster so she won't hatch chicks anyway. Please send tips, thanks!!

Since you don't have a rooster and hence no fertile eggs, you should "break" her of the habit...Here's how:

Well not sure.My hens always do that,but they never go broody.She's not broody unless she puffs up when she is out in the open and almost just walking around bulking a mix of bawking and chirps.Her wings will spread out and her warm tummy will be BALD.Her feathers will come up and she may run.

Just by sitting on the eggs can cause hatching from the heat of the mom.

Yes, I did and I am trying the nesting curtains and the broody cage.

My hen only sits in there when there are eggs in the morning and she won't lay!!!

Put her in a bird cage in the trees I know it's weird but after two days their not clucky anymore
