is my hen going crazy???

I have a broody hen, she is very protective of the nest but she isn't the "queen" of the flock so when she sits on the wrong box her eggs get pecked otherwise they leave her alone. When she steps off her nest she paces back and forth facing the back wall any goes to the corner and scratches at it, then continues pacing, as if she can see through the wall and she wants something.

I have 2 that go broody often & both act bizarre when the hormones are "flying". They act quite neurotic, and when broodiness resolves, the go back to their normal personalities.
