My eggs have been in the bator for a day and a half now. The humidity level keeps bouncing back and forth between 51% and 55%. It won't go below the 51%. Is this okay or is the humidity to high?

I would leave it. It will go down naturally over the next few days. I run mine around 50 all of the time and have great hatches.

Thanks everyone! I'll calm down now!

I'm using a Genesis 1588 bator, Vamp-A-Billy Princess.

So far, I love it! It has been holding the temp. steady at 100 degrees!

For the first 48 hrs your humidity is ok. I try to keep mine around 42 after the first 48. Remember that the room humidity has alot to do with th inside of the bator also. I add water with a syringe and measure the cc it uses per day.
