We are in northern Indiana. There is one of those cheep wood run and coop kits for the hens on one side. I expanded the run with PVC though unless a hawk starts harassing them or something we let the adult hens have free run of half the backyard. She wanted something she could stand in and weed out so we took down what I originally set up when we first got chickens. She spends all her money on plants for the backyard but when it comes to making a new run she doesn't want to spend a dime. Her original plan was just three arches with no support whatsoever. I finally talked her in to letting me order some fittings and I got some more PVC pipe.

Yes the angle is good but the pvc structure has no cross supports. I am thinking IF snow starts to build up it won't take much to collapse it.

Yeppers......if any sagging occurs it could hold water or snow.
