I got a new rabbit and his eye is all blue with a barely visible pupil. If he is blind, I will be proud to say I have a partly blind rabbit, and if he isn’t, I will also be proud to say I have a rabbit. He is a boy named Courageous Titan, Courage for short, I fell in love at first sight, do need a type of food for him, or anything (food wise) I need?

Just feed him rabbit food and maybe some hay. I don't know it he is blind from your post, but if he is, he should be able to do just fine. One thing you can do is to turn the lights out and shine a light into his eye. You will be able to see if his pupils react and if there are structures missing in his eye.

Thank you, the light will help a lot, and if he is blind, I will be proud to say I have a half blind rabbit! I will love him either way. Do you know his breed, he’s supposed to be a mix, what does he look like?

Someone else can no doubt tell you what kind of a rabbit he is. To me he just looks like a rabbit. My experience with rabbits is confined to raising New Zealand Whites for meat. I haven't had much experience with pet rabbits although I did once have a big New Zealand buck that was a fine pet. He was calm and tame and he didn't mind being picked up and handled. On occasion I would let him run around in the yard. If I had rabbits at this point in my life I think I would go with Florida Whites. You have a very pretty bunny no matter what he is and I think you will have a lot of fun with him. Or her. Sometimes with rabbits it is hard to tell.

Not sure about breed. I agree on the light in the pupil method. As for food, I feed mine rabbit pellets and Timothy hay. :)

I'm guessing your rabbit is more than likely a mixed breed. There is one rabbit that it ressembles that I know of, the English rabbit:

But clearly the markings on your rabbit are not as dark. Another resource to ask about rabbit breeds is RabbitsOnline. Sounds like the rabbit is lucky to have been found by you, blind or not, mixed breed or purebred. Please update when possible.

Here is a better picture:

Thank you, that makes me feel good!

Please take this part of the post with a large grain of salt. If the only thing you are looking at is the markings, they are meaningless. I have half a dozen pedigreed Netherland Dwarfs in my rabbitry right now that have markings like those on your rabbit, and I have owned Holland Lops,Mini Lops, Jersey Woolies, Mini Rex, one English Angora and a Fuzzy Lop with markings just like that, too. It is possible that your rabbit is part English Spot, but those markings could just as easily have come from one of the many other breeds that come in the Broken pattern. Your rabbit is a lightly marked broken, but it is impossible to tell just which breed it inherited the gene for the broken pattern from. Mix? Most likely, but a mix of which breeds is not in any way clear.

If the left eye is the "bad" one, it looks like he may have had an infection in it that left the cornea a bit cloudy. Hopefully, that is all it is; it may get clearer with time.

Yes, I was looking at the black stripe down the back and trying to figure out what breed it might be a mix of. I don't think it would easy, and maybe not possible, to determine what mix of breed(s) this rabbit is, but I don't think it really matters to the owner anyway.

I did provide a link to a rabbit organization that may be more helpful. Good luck.
