Is my peacock sick? :(

shes pretty important to me. I do have something else I've noticed is that she's really shy and doesn't like anybody getting close. She's eating her food right now. Is that a good thing?
Eating is good, but I've seen them eat and die three hours later.

Kathy is the one to listen to on the subject of treating peas. But if you can't afford to take her to the vet, if she was mine I would worm her. Use safeguard, its mild and shouldn't hurt her. The best way for you would be to use a syringe (look on a post of Kathy's, she has a line about worming, click on it & I think it will give dosage) without a needle and put it in her mouth past the opening that goes to her lungs. It may be the change in feed, but if she is lethargic, then she's probably sick or really wormy. Either can and will kill them. Are there any pea people in your area you could call & ask for advice? You might try giving her extra goodies, sunflower seeds, banana pieces, grapes (I cut them in 1/2),peanuts, or just about any kind of nut, or anything else she might like, just to whet her appetite, some peas really like cat food even.
