Long story short.....I purchased a Pekin duck this past Easter. A few months ago he started turning khaki in some spots but I didn't pay it any extra attention. Well the spots spread, a lot. Ha.
So earlier I was on a thread for runner duck owners and saw white/khaki ducks that look just like mine!? So is my male "Pekin" really some type of Runner duck? If so what is the exact breed name? Help!
***the picture posted is not of my drake but this is exactly what he looks like***

Here is my Fawn and White Runner Peeper. He is just the sweetest duck in the world. Does he look like your Pekin? :)

This is my little guy! He's so cute! My two ducks use to be so sweet and cuddly until my geese came along but he got put of the pool long enough to take a picture ha. (I think that's why he was fussing me

D'awwww! That is one cute crested Runner if ever I saw one. <3 Shame that the geese bully him, poor guy ;;

Thanks! Ha. The geese don't bully them, they get along great believe it or not. The geese just don't like being played with and run when we come close. I guess when the ducks noticed the geese would always avoid us, they kinda followed suit. They think they're as big as the geese half the time haha and they do whatever the geese do.
I'm not sure what it's called but I picked him because of the little poof on top of his head. He was the only duckling that had it, it's so cute! This is him right after I brought him home. You can see the little white poof on top of his head haha

LOLOL. It's called a crest, but I like 'poof.' Little poof-head ducky. LOLOL.

I love his little poof! What a lucky duck! Runners eat less and poop a little smaller than Pekins, so that is a plus.
