Thank you!

Stephanie - Thanks to you as well. I will definitely look into showing her. I will also get another pullet and a rooster for spring as a breeding trio to start with

My girl is really heavy. She doesn't look overweight though. If I didn't put a ban on scales at my house, it would be easier to tell how heavy she was. Would there be a DQ for a hen that was heavier than the norm?

Did i read your getting a rooster to go with that pretty rir of yours? Not due to the show quality but if you do i wanna buy some eggs i love RIRs the light colored ones actually arent RIRs there hybrid laying crosses like golden comets just alot of people confuse them with RIR's. Lighter color ones are often new hampshire reds. The hybrid laying crosses are birds crossed with RIRs so they look quite similar.

Really is hard to find good quality RIR anywhere.. I was very lucky. I don't think he was planning on selling the RIRs.

I'll let you know, okay?

Your right about true rir's being rare. I spent hundreds this year on eggs, and ended up with one cockeral that fits the standard. I think they are more rare than the buff laced brahma's.
