Yes, just like you said, take the whole chair and screw it higher up. They can use it as a perch and you won't have to take it apart to redo a roost, the chair seat will be the roost. Not sure if the chair will be too heavy or not, it depends how worn down it is and the style of the chair (adirondack chairs come in different styles and angles)

Seems super cool-my concern is that it'd take too much space? The part of the run that I can stand up in is 6x6x6. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I’ve gotten some cheap work horses from facebook marketplace. They make awesome roosts!

Maybe look for a kid's size wood chair at a garage sale or thrift store?

Good idea. I went and looked at it and it looked like it *might* be good, but it's also in the front yard. Tomorrow i'll move it next to the run and see what I think.

Definitely go vertical with maybe a caticornered perch or two, though it’s probably just fine the way you have it. I like your water set up - do you have electric or did you have to run an extension cord?

I‘ve found rearranging old stuff makes it new and interesting for the ladies. That, and hiding treats they can find when they’re scratching around.

Your birds look happy. Are those the same ones you rented?
