Is my salmon faverolle chicks a Pullet

Pics
Hey just chiming in here...that's my post about the oddly coloured Salmon Faverolles "pullet" that @1cock2hens posted above. I'm just as confused as you are, and my chick is also from Ideal!!! Mine is 9.5 weeks old now and I just have no idea! :barnie Vera looks like a pullet in every way to me except for the black...just like your sweet little Taffy! I think Ideal may have done some wonky breeding! I think they're super cute though, and I really hope they turn out to be pullets!!

Thank you for your input

I wonder if ideal has sloppy genetics with the other chickens or is it just the faverolle that got messed up
Hmmm...I not sure. It was my first time ordering from them. I ordered 13 chicks...12 different pullets plus an extra easter egger pullet. One didn't make it through shipping. The rest I only have one of each so I have nothing to compare them with. Now I am tempted to start a similar thread for each of my chicks though haha just to see! What kind did you order?

Hahaha their Ameraucanas are Easter Eggers by the way, in case you were tricked by their misleading advertising.

I also got a Barnevelder and a Cuckoo Maran and a Silver Laced Wyandotte...plus a White Laced Red Cornish, a Welsummer, a Norwegian Jaerhon, a Gold Brabanter, a Golden Campine and a Spangled Russian Orloff, plus the two Easter Eggers and the Salmonesque Faverolles. :gig

Where would you recommend buying salmon faverolle then

I got 10 from Cackle hatchery this spring, 2 cockerels and 8 pullets , bought them sexed.

The colors were average hatchery quality I guess. I has a really black beard and darker salmon coloring, 2 or 3 have lighter coloring, with just a little grey in they’re beards, the rest are in between.

You can see some pics on my coop page.

They’re not the really pretty show quality favs like some of the people on here have, but I have no complaints...

...but then again I like your unique colored pullet too, and would keep her just because she’s different.
