sorry no nothing about ducks but hummmmm

A Call duck is like a miniature duck. It's just a breed that is very small.
I pekin is a duck that was bread for meat.

This is a black Swedish Call duck.

This is a Pekin

And these are adolescent runner ducks.

I'm sure more people will offer more info though.

Thanks so much for the helpful info everyone! He does look just like a Pekin, but his beak and feat are a light yellow instead of that bright orange. I think he needs a girlfriend. Any suggestions on breed and age?

Do you like your pekin? You could get a matching set. Other ducks that would look nice with a pekin are cayugas (glossy, iridescent black--would be a nice contrast--pretty good layers of green eggs) and welsh harlequin (very pretty patterned ducks, excellent layers, good mothers). I'm sure there are other great breeds that would work for you--those are just the two that come to mind.

I wonder if he is some kind of mix. If he hatched out of a blue egg his mom probably wasn't Pekin, but his dad must have been. Any guess about how much he weighs? You will want a mate that isn't too small with Pekin sized drake. In fact you will want several mates with any sized drakes!!

I don't have a clue how much he weighs! I guess I could try to weigh him tomorrow. The majority of the ducks in the area where I found his egg looked like Blue Swedish, but all different shades and even some tan ones.
