IS my silkie a hen

I know silkies are hard to sex but if my buff cochin roo is mounting one of them already, is it safe to say that that silkie is a hen or is it normal for a roo to mount a boy?

I would concur that you probably have a pullet. I havent seen any males mounting males in my years of raising poultry. But of course a pic would most definitely verify your situation.
