Is my silkie a roo or hen??? Please Help!!!

Ok but I thought they fought for dominance and they have never fought and then I got another roo and the only one who fought with him was bazooka bubblegun my other silkie roo and they stoped fight after a day they were just showing whos boss but they were the only ones who ever fought. Oh and also when I first brought him home Him and My large fowl roo on the other side fought threw the fence. Just checking do you think this one is a roo because I have had one person tell me she was.

My silkie roos fight one another all the time. They are in a bachelor pen and while everyone else is happily grazing and scratching around, they are mounting each other and ripping each others poofed out. They don't ever do each other serious damage but, they will fight all day long. In between, they are best buds :)

I would say that is a roo, also. See the long, darker streamers down the neck? That indicates a roo.

how old? do you have any side shots of the head it will be easier to see the streamers if there is any. you could also do that for the first one as well but it first does appear to have streamers which would make it a cockerel but it could just be the angle of the pics.

I do, but sometimes, it gives a better visual for some who aren't used to the terminology to understand what I'm talking about :) They look like feathers 'streaming' down the neck. And, eventually, the hackles and the streamers all run together and create a beautiful rooster :)

Next time I will use the correct terms and then explain with my visual.

i dont see any streamers from the crest but those hackles look cockerelish, i also don't see the comb so i am assuming the comb is medium to small in size.

Carriage, hackles and overall stance scream roo to me...pullets don't carry themselves like that.
