Is my Speckled Sussex show quality?

Well, here's 3/4 of our SS's...I guess i'll try to predict her faults. =P

Okay, her comb is twisted and flopped over. She has a bent toe. Her tail is pinched.
Am I right?

Yep, she just needs substance and weight to finish it off.

Here's ( not mine! This is Tony Albritton's ) a nice Speckled Sussex for reference.

Good comb, even color, nice tail, full body, good toes.

It never hurts to try and show a bird though, and as long as you love your birds, that's what really counts. In your case though - The bent toes won't get you far at all in showing.

As for the rest, it's all about how much competition there is. If your bird has serious faults such as a drastic weight difference or a folded comb, a good judge wouldn't let you go far, but the tail and color could win if you had other and few hatchery birds for competition.

Wow, that SS is really pretty!
Anyway, here's the last of mine...her comb is probably the straightest.

The last one is probably best to show because she doesn't have severely curled toes or a folded comb. She also has a nice, even, pretty decent color. But, she needs to be in good condition to show. No broken or frayed feathers. I'd wait til she molts.

So, i'm guessing that in order, of best to worst for showing, the 4th one, the 1st one, the 3rd one, then the 2nd one?
