Our 10 month old rooster has been a good boy but attacked my legs this morning! weve been keeping him in a different coop with a pullet who was ostracised by the other 6 from early on so hes been fine for a few months. when i let him out of his coop he follows me to the other coop until i let his 6 girls out but this morning when i was unlocking the coop area i am guessing he got impatient and flew at my legs...he has become very protective of them lately. Should i just let him overnight in their coop from now on? I don't want to have to get rid of him. he is a large RIR-weve had him for 4 months. Help I dont want to be afraid if him

This was not impatience. It was a cheap shot. He wants to dominate you but he's too scared for a frontal assault.
You've likely had signs of his intentions in the past but don't recognize them for what they are.
If you don't have kids or others that could be in danger of attack by him you could work with him to get him to stop this behavior now.
If other people could be attacked, you might want to consider rehoming him or sending him to freezer camp.

Thank you- I will let him know that cheap shots towards me will not be tolerated. I do have grandkids that come over and I will have to now be very vigilant 😏
