Since it's been cold lately, I've been kinda worried about ventilation. Basically, my coop is a box that is covered in hardware cloth on the top. Then I built a slanted roof on top of the hardware cloth. Since the roof is slanted, the air moves freely throughout the coop. Is that good?

Thanks all! I hope that it was clear and understandable.

Very nice ventilation.
For better predator avoidance, I would add hardware cloth to the vertical spaces between the roof and the hardware cloth ceiling, and make sure it's very well secured. You don't need raccoons up there, or rodents peeing into the coop! Mary

Ok! I will do that. I have some left over hardware cloth.

Really kind of need to see the whole coop inside and out.

Looks good so far! Nice!

Also make sure you have a cold air inlet to allow the air to circulate through the coop. Ventilation only at the top does not work so well.

Since you don't want drafts, be sure the cold air inlet is NOT on the windward side of the coop or is baffled or can be closed. All my vents (upper and lower) can be open or closed as we can get nasty wind from any direction.

Lastly use 1/4" hardware cloth on the lower vents in order to keep mice and snakes out.

Good luck!
