Is my Wyandotte a rooster?

your chicken is a rooster!!!!!! Look at the tail. The tail of a rooster is arch shaped usually has a rise to it and is longer than a hen. Rockmasters momma

How old is she? Wyandottes take 18mo to mature, but I'm not seeing saddles on her and her coloration is "pullet".

The way you know if you have a rooster is if your chicken has a bigger comb than the rest, if in three or four months it crows, hee, hee,

you know you've got a rooster.

Looks like a pullet to me. My last batch of hens were GLWs, well most of them anyway.

What kind of Wyandottes are you raising that take 18 mo to mature? I have never had one take more than 6 mo to mature and I have had a lots start laying at 5 mo.

By the way... beautiful pullet!

I was wondering the same thing. Lots of unknown factors here, but at that age they should all be laying by now, even if not getting artificial lighting. Should definitely know by now if it's a he or she, just by actions.

I have a SLW just start laying and she is nine months old. Some take longer than others but 18 months to start laying is a looooooong time.
