not even sure, I just saw it near the checkout growing in a 4" plastic pot
it isn't a real oat, 'oat grass' is the common name or something

I read in some scientific article that canada geese are 'strongly oriented to kentucky bluegrass' or something like that, meaning they will seek it out if it is anywhere nearby. I don;t have a citation but it was in a free jstor article i got to to by searching for 'canada geese'
