Hello, we are incubating eggs for the first time to start our flock! We have 2 sets of 3 eggs. The first set was at day 21 on Wednesday. One egg from that set hatched perfectly on Wednesday, one got stuck for 12 hours while unzipping so we assisted and the second one hatched Thursday. Meanwhile egg #3 was heard chirping on Wednesday and we heard pecking or scratching inside the shell Thursday with no pip.
So now we're at day 23 and there's been no movement, no noise from this egg. I did the float test tonight and the egg wasn't completely sunk, one end was weakly bobbing toward the surface but no part of the egg was above the water.
Do we have a goner? Either way, what do we do next??
Crossing my fingers for a smoother hatch for my 2nd set that's currently on lockdown!
