Is Pekin too thin??

Quote:
the indentation is the breast bone a little meat on each side of the bone is ideal. if the brest caves in on either side so the bone sticks out then they are too thin and are starved or sick.

Thanks! Hugo is my Little Man.

He has quite the personality and like to weave in and out of my feet as I am walking.

Goosedragon is completely correct. Flat breast and sticking out bone where the cleavage is is a sign of malnourishment.

Thank you SO much!! This clears it up for me. Happy my little ducks are moving in the right direction. I looked up photos from when we first brought them home and they do look a lot healthier - full feathers, heavier - and the male had an almost white beak and feet, now a much richer color, and his neck used to be so scrawny.

Thanks again for the info. It's so nice to know there are people out there who are so helpful!
