My cousin inlaw who shows RIR'S is interested in Prettygurl he said he had been wanting silkies for awhile. He is interested in showing her he thinks she could do good in shows. So I know there is alot of good Silkie breeders/showers on here and I wanted to post some Pictures and get some critque from everyone on here. Thanks,

She is a little dirty in these pics and she has Filled in even better now.

It's hard to gauge type from those pics. Her middle toe feathering looks sparse. She has no off coloring in the hackles, looks to have a nice cushion and has tigh wing carriage.

Can you get a good side profile pic with her crest clean?

I'd probably show her at small shows, but wouldn't take her to the bigger, more competitive ones.

I'll try to get better pictures of her tomorrow..She loves to get messy..

She looks even better now she has grown in more in these pics she was about 6 and half months old and she is almost 8 months old now.

I'd just hate to let him take her to a show and feel like a goof.

Is her toe conformation good? Also, while I am not a breeder, I do read Poultry Press. They post the pictures of show winners, and they seem to be picking Silkies that look like they have giant affros. If the birds toes are correct, it does appear to meet the standard though.

Her toe feathering looks good..When it is clean there run is dirt so her feathering on her feet stay a bit dirty.

I went out to take pictures of her today but from the melted snow and ice we had their run is kinda messy and looks as if she has been playing in the mud..LOL

I may have to take her out clean her up and see if she will behave enough to get some good pics.
