I don't think she's a he, but Rue acts just like a cockerel would. And then you start thinking about it too much. And then you start to second-guess yourself. And then the only thing left to do is post pics on BYC.

These are seriously the best pics I could get. They were chasing bugs.

Pullet. Second guessing is annoying! I do it a lot with my birds. Mainly because hope gets in the way.

That's what I thought. Then I spent all day with her, and she was chest bumping and challenging others who are much higher on the pecking order. And I'm like, wait a second....

Love this little bird! Total goof ball. Not shy at all.

No idea. She's friendly in that she follows me all over the place, but she runs away if I try to pet her or pick her up.
