Wondering if this little guy is a roo. He definitely has 3 brothers (Dorito, Frito, and Sun Chip) and one sister (Cheeto). Scrando (pronounced Scrawn-doe) was, well, scrawnier than everyone else. But now it is starting to look like he is a he. But not totally sure. What do you think?

That's Scrando laying down in front. Standing up is his brother Sun Chip, back left is Cheeto, and back right is either Dorito or Frito.

Here are all five of them. Cheeto in the center, Scrando to the left, Dorito with his back to us, Frito standing ,and Sun Chip in the back left.

Honestly I sometimes get Frito and Sun Chip mixed up. They have different colored legs. One has blackish and one has greenish legs. I think I decided Frito had the greenish legs.

Great names! Id say he looks like a boy, but im no expert. Just wanted to say I have 2 wyandottes that I couldnt tell apart and their names are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. I think ive finally figured out how to tell them apart, but now i dont know which one was Tweedle Dee and which was Tweedle Dumb! Guess it really doesnt matter, but its funny just the same!

They are about 3 months old. Not sure the exact age, but should be pretty close.

Roo. He's just slower to get the coloring but notice he already has a couple black feathers on side of breast? That will turn into a black breast of a red duckwing/BBR roo. Also he's starting to show the blue shiny feathers that will show up in a row going across(up/down when wing is folded) middle of wing.

Pic a little fuzzy, it appears he may have a pea comb(the girl may have it too)? If he does, that is why his comb is not big like his other brothers with single combs. Pea combs normally are smaller than single combs.

Edited to add, on second viewing the girl looks wheaten. IF and thats the if, they are wheatens, that is your biggest clue if they were all either solid cream colored or cream with a single stripe down mid neck/back. Wheatens are very easy to sex from very early age.. girls grow light colored feathers, boys almost immediately show dark coloring as feathers grow. If they are wheaten/red duckwing mix, can't rely on that too much. (red duckwing are chimpunk patterned as chicks)

Thanks! I kind of thought he was a roo. Can you also tell by the white feathers that start to grow at the base of their tail?

As for what they are - I don't know much about breeds. They are wild chickens. This is a post I put up about their mom, Sakka. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=451173

And their dad is most likely the rooster we call Bart - I don't have a picture of him but he looked like this. All the roosters who are top dog around here look like this.
This is Emilio.

This was Poker Face. On the left of course.

Sorry, that is the best picture I have of them.

So Cheeto is definitely a girl right? Here are some better pics of her.

She tends to stay the farthest away from me. Dorito is top dog, followed by Sunchip/Frito. Scrando is lowest but he is the first to come to me if I hold out a container of food. I've seen Cheeto fight with the others - even more than Scrando does.

There were originally 6 kids, but one of the lighter colored chicks and their mom aren't around. I don't know what happened to them. They both haven't been seen in quite a few weeks, but both disappeared the same weekend. I hope they're ok.

I was looking at some pictures of Old English games and it looks like their mom is a Black breasted red jungle fowl? There are several in that flock who look just like that too. One of them just had 5 chicks who come and steal these five kids' food all the time. They all have stripes down their back. They're about 2 weeks old now. The roosters around here who are probably the dads look like the pictures of either Wheaten or Black Breasted Brown Red Old English Game Fowl.

Is leg color a big indicator in OE game? These five have different leg colors. Some of them even have some feathers on their legs.
