My mom got "Raven" from a local feed store back in March/April. She has since come to live on my farm. My mom thought she was a Columbian Wydanotte but after research they seem to have smaller combs. She is not crowing or laying eggs at this point but seems very interested in our nest boxes.
Is our raven indeed a columbian wydanotte and is she a hen? (She sure acts like one, anouther roo that was purchased at same time has been crowing for a couple of weeks now)

**Our 5 guineas love her and follow her around.

**She is very docile and laid back, please tell me she is a hen

Got any close pics? my bad, it could be a POL hen after looking again, are those sickle feathers?

I agree, Columbian rock, I would have to say hen from what I could see of the tail, but a closer pic would help! ;)

I am a newbie chicken owner and am still learning what sickle feathers look like. I can get a close up of her tomorrow though if needed.

**Sorry these are so dark, my chickens put themselves to bed around 7:30 and she roosts high but maybe they will help?
Columbian Rock Hen or Roo? Thanks for all input!!

It's a hen, should be laying soon. She's colombian in color, but not a wyandotte. She could be a rock, has the right leg color and body type.

Thanks, I was wanting to say that as well, but wasn't sure, her waddles are so big

You have a Colombian Rock pullet. Wyandottes have Rose combs. If you had a cockerel, the hackle and saddle feathers would be obvious by now.
