Is she broody?

One of my girls wont leave her eggs. We dont have a rooster, we never did, so I'm not sure why she would suddenly think there would be babies in them? She is 1 year old already.

I tried to gently scoot her off of them but she went back and sat down on them before i could even grab them.

Sounds like she is broody. They don't need a rooster to go broody.
