Is She Broody?

I look at his feet and gone all wide eyed and go "woaah" Hope cat nail clippers will do the job. I'll have somebody help me. My other duck Waddles his nails are fine. I would think cause hes one footed.

Yeah Waddles probably wears it down just fine. I think Cat mail clippers would do fine. I had a rabbit that nails like your duck. They were wicked!

Makes me wonder how long they've been that way, hes hard to catch!
How can I get my RIR rooster to be nice, hes attacking everyone but me, and I am the only person he listens to.

That is a question that I am not sure has an answer! Maybe if you trapped him in something when ever he attacked some one else he would eventually put it together that those people are your "hens" !

I read on here, that maybe holding him 15 to 30 minutes he'd eventually chill out. Hes doing his job with the hens, but he attacks my nieces and nephew who're about from 5 to 9. He doesn't do serious harm just scares the poop out of them, but he's got my mom pretty good. Also read if you held them by there legs they'd chill out after a while but I wouldn't do that.

Actually it's kind of cool! If you hold them upside down by their legs , not letting there wings touch your hands or anything else within a minute or two they will fall "asleep" !! Then you can lay them on there backs or whatever and they really just lay there for a few minutes. I had a couple that I had to wake back up myself, it's like your hypnotizing them! Call me cruel but that is actually how we get them to lay still for us when we butcher! A really neat trick and you could even have the kids do it!

I read that the lungs are located in the back or something so was scared I'd hurt him. All my bird's are pets and like kids to me they don't end up as dinner lol. I'm going to try that. see if it chills him out.

Well it has never hurt any of mine. And most of my birds are pet's and family but when you have as many roosters as I do then you do what you gotta do LOL. I am trying to sell some but you know how that goes! I hope it does work! And if you don't tell anyone why the trick works then you can put on a magic look I can put this chicken to sleep on command show for the kids! I did for my younger siblings and they really liked it!

IT failed D: He flipped out and slipped from my grasp and well, he fell, but apparently chickens land on their feet just as cats do so catkens! LOL. And one of my hens I think has runny poop. She was on the perch and let lose, it was gross and wet sounding, not a regular thud against the ground.

Well crap! Sorry about that! Didn't mean to set your poor bird up! Catkens!! lol! But you know your right! They do !
