I have a standard grey American game hen, and this morning I was going out to let the chickens out and she came running out of the run and scared me to death! I guess she didn't go into the coop last night. She was kind of clucking sofly and then when I let the chickens out I fed them and she was clucking and stuff and then she pooped and it was all runny and big. A few minutes ago I went out to check on the chickens and I couldn't find her anywhere!

I looked for her but I couldn't find her. She likes to go into our cow pen and scratch around but I didn't see her there either. So I'm guessing she a a clutch of eggs some where! Are American game chickens broody? When I got her she was raising guinea keets she'd hatched out. That was 1 or 2 years ago. Thanks!

I looked everywhere for her, but I just couldn't find her nest. I just hope something doesn't get her while she's setting on her eggs ...

I guess she'll turn up in 3 wks with a brood of chicks!

OR why don't you follow her after she is done eating and find her clutch of eggs and get her in her own cage in safety?

I hope you are right and nothing finds her. If she is left outside at night, it is a great possibility something could get her. Let us know when she comes with something.

Okay I'll' sure do that!
In the morning I'll follow her around and see where she goes.

It doesn't help any that she is the wildest chicken I have and she hates me! I sure hope she found a safe nesting spot to hatch out her clutch. I'm not gonna try and move her even if I do find her. Cause she is such a mean chicken. You should see her spurs ... man you'd think she was a rooster! lol
