7 week old light brahma - face is starting to look a bit more red than than the others of the same breed/age - also has/had some delayed feathering compared to the others

You're welcome! My 6 chicks are suppose to be hens but of course that isn't 100%. I will not deal with roosters so I'm going to be super bummed if I get roos.

I got 15 birds total so I'd be ok if she's really a he

& we live in the boonies so I don't have to worry about HOA restrictions or anything like that

Besides, the Brahmas are such beautiful birds I wouldn't mind more in the future!!

If I had more than 6 I wouldn't mind 1 rooster (and only 1) but with such a small flock I don't want to have a "wasted" spot because I'm wanting eggs. I'm not going to raise chicks from my own eggs and plus my daughter is just scared of roosters. We've chicken sat for family friends and she loved helping but got attacked multiple times by their roosters. They would actually come after her, she didn't do anything, yell or scare them, wasn't even close to them. So we just aren't going there
