Does anyone have a photo of a SQ barred rock pullet? Cock & cockerel photos get posted all the time, but usually not the ladies.

I also ordered a Barred Rock from Ideal, but she is small-ish.

I have a BR hen from Ideal, who is over three years old now. She has always been small and is currently only about five pounds and cockerel-colored, as light as her sons. BR hens should be 6-7 lb. if I'm not mistaken. My other one from Ideal, same age, has the proper body size but is so "ghosty" barred in places, she really looks more like a Marans hen than a BR, except for the yellow legs.

3 lbs. is really too small for largefowl show fowl but should make a good pet for you!
