is she show quality *pics heavy*

"Hatchery" and "show quality" never go together... never.

It's just like horses or dogs or any other kind of animal that you would enter in a show. Selective breeding is necessary to achieve better than average stock.

i just go by experence every chicken is different

Yes, you are right, every chicken is different. The point that people are trying to make to you tho, is to do well in a show there is a standard that each chicken must live up to ....they can't be different. There's a standard for everything from the points on the comb to the eye color.....to the beak color. You asked if she was show quality and people have given you an honest opinion that she isn't.

ya i know what they mean and that the for a show they have to look a certain way down to the toe nail but im trying to say that every chicken grows different while some dont get so big and some get bigger ive had chickens a while and it sort of sounded like i was wrong. i just want to do this for fun no loss no gain. if i were to get a ribbon hey thats just something to add to my wall of glory lol. and shes a hatchery bird not born for shows just egg production and meat but i think they are beautiful. and ya i did ask the opinion and i respect everyones if shes not show quality which shes not im not mad or sad about anything i have no reason to be i got the answer i wanted

chickenbottom..

To a point your right... But a hen will start laying when shes done growing.. Your still young and you have a lot to learn about chickens... You need to go to crohio.com and post that picture of the hen there and see what they say... Robet Blosls and Danny Feathers would be more than happy to look at it...

Just because your bird is not "show quality" does not mean that you don't have a good bird. The first time I ever asked about show quality I seriously got my feeling hurt til I learned a little more about shows.

It is the same way in dogs, cats, guinea pigs, or any other critter you want to show. Any animal that you choose to show will have to be scrutinized beyond belief to qualify and this is the reason why I just choose to raise pets.
