Normally, I wake up around now to uncover the ducks (I keep their cage mostly covered at night with a thin blanket because it's very drafty and cold by the windows). However, if Hemmie is in egg laying mode, I would feel very rude interrupting. She has only laid one egg before, several months ago, and I just got up one morning and it was in there.
Thoughts? You'll notice the camera footage is from my bed, because I'm trying to be covert and not disturb her. Downey totally knows I'm awake, but he always knows somehow, the little ninja.
I'm trying to be quiet and hide in bed if she's busy!

My ducks display similar behaviours before laying their eggs.
