Are you cooking fresher eggs now than you were before? Freshness is the usual difference between home-raised and store eggs, but if they were consistent for a year and then changed, that's really odd.

Odd! They used to peel fine, now they don't. Hmmm.

Lots of good advice in this thread, none of which I have tried, I did research the same thing a couple of weeks ago, and another poster recommended steaming the eggs as opposed to boiling them. This worked great for me.
