Hi everyone, I'm new to this geese loving lol...trial and error has me now with a a vinyl floor covering covered in suitable for pets wood shavings with a straw top layer.
Is this a good idea or will it not suit them. They're the happiest I've seen them today as I did this yesterday. My worry tonight is that the hay will hurt their tummies as it's hard and dry and they've eaten so much of it today..when I say hay it's from the pet store, packaged and is for bedding. It says from grass so I'm hoping it's ok because they've loved today and it'll be so much easier to clean which has got to be a lot healthier for them.:D
Thankful for any help and advice as a rookie geese lover

Using both pine shavings and the straw are fine for the goslings. Makes it easier to clean up as well. Make sure the goslings get lots and lots of green grass and dandelion leaves to keep them from getting angel wing. Yes, they get their grower feed for only the first 3 weeks and then change over slowly through a week to a maintenance feed. But main meals are grass and romaine, kale and many other things can be tried. Babies love to try new things... If they like it you will know if not they will not touch it.
