Is Stumpy a Rooster?

Amber link are a fast feathering white leghorn rooster over a RIR which is the opposite of a sex link, they are a feather sexing breed which means they feather out in ways you can tell female and males on the first day or two, usually with the amber the have a few brown spots on the wings (kind of like a sex link rooster) but there are also a Amber white which is basically a different leghorn hybrid Amber link or amber star is the white with brown speckles on wings.

I love this picture! He/she is so cute!

I have a similar predicament...received some free chicks with a bag of feed at the local Coastal, (they do that every spring, first Saturday in April usually) and I thought I had received some White Leghorns. All the little pale yellow chicks looked alike! When they were about 7 weeks old, noticed that out of 8 "leghorn chicks", only 2 were leghorns, and 6 were Amber Whites. The Leghorns were much smaller, brighter white feathers, with a sail for a tail (upright). Their legs are much smaller/dainty even compared to their beefy sisters. 2 weeks ago, I noticed one of my Ambers getting BIGGER than the others, and was developing red wattles and the starts of a red comb, when everybody else is still yellowish. I'm convinced she is a he. He's friendly enough, and I'm actually kind of happy to have another rooster for my girls. I just hope he remains a friendly roo! He's now pushing 12 weeks old, and is starting to develop a different voice, deeper, more masculine than my little girl peep pullets. I'll just keep visiting them, and keep them used to being friendly...

I was told our Coastal receives their chicks from Dunlap Hatchery out of Idaho, and they do sell Amber Whites. My one year old Amber White girls (received 2 of them last year) are very friendly, just about as friendly as my Black Australorp and Buff Orpingtons.

Well, Stumpy is definitely a cockerel. He has started crowing early in the morning, 5:45AM. At first it was a pretty rough sound, but he has improved drastically this past week. He was just over 10 weeks old when he started this. He has a very nice sound.
Yes, these Amber Links are very friendly and will follow me around.
They love to free range and will wait excitedly at the gate for me to open it.
I have found that at 10-11 weeks old, they prefer bugs over fruits/veggies and are not crazy about worms and caterpillars (maybe I over did the earthworms when they were 4-6 weeks old and they got burnt out).
Now what do I do, with one rooster and only two pullets in mid-July?!
