Is the wiggler temp supposed to be different than the air?

What is the temp inside the wiggler supposed to be? I have one thermometer to measure the temp/hum. in the air and then the wiggler w/ probe attached to another therm./hygro. for the egg temp. Just wondering if these are supposed to be the same??

If it matters at all, this is my hatching 'bator.

    Thanks all!
