Is there a benefit to having a rooster in egg production?

I there really any benefit to having a rooster for strictly egg production. My neighbors and I hate the morning wake ups. Check out my 2br Henabago.

I like having roosters but they do tend to worry the hell out of hens so they are not necessary per se. I have found that roosterless hens are more contented when confined. But a rooster is beneficial in free range situations to keep the hens from roaming widely.

BTW-You don't need rooster...but they help keep the peace...like Johnny Law.
