Is there a certain age that your showbird has to be in order to show?

Hi,
I just joined a 4H group to show chickens, and I have a question....
I would like to show one of my bantams that are about 3 1/2 months old, and will be about 6 months old in August [when the fair is, I would show then]. So, is there a certain age my bantams need to be in order to show?

You may want to check with the actual fair you want to show at, to see what their requirements are.
All shows/fairs have different rules.

Hi i saw you post and at my 4-H fair you have to have chickens before may 1 before fair.

It all depends on the area. Most have a 4 month rule so that the birds can be NPIP tested. However I would check with your group leader, the extension service, or a rule book
