Or like afternoon or something like that? Because my hens are on a roll and I don't know when to tape...

Yes. About 25 hours after they laid last time.

Seriously- each hen is different.

Tape?

Most will lay within an hour or so of being let out of their coop, although I usually have 3-4 eggs in the nest boxes when I set them free about 8:30 in the morning. I have 12 ISA Brown hens which started laying mid-July. I get 10-11 eggs a day, medium sized still. All of the eggs are laid by noon.

i am the same as ohhhdear. all eggs laid by noon, except one time one laid an egg while pearching at night. the shell was not hardened at all

My bo was laying in the afternoon now she is laying earlier and I got an egg from her for the 4th day today for the 1st time I think her laying picked up when the pullet started laying

Mine start early and slowly go later and later until they skip a day. I had a RIR on the nest at 5pm. She won't lay tomorrow

Right now mine are laying between 11a-1:3opm. I only have 3 that are laying right now but WOW they are a noisy bunch when they get to layin'! I do love the sound and what it means, though.
