It appears that many many moons ago when I had braces...the idiot removed my 4 primary molars (because my wisdom teeth were right behind them perfectly straight) and allowed my wisdom teeth to take their place. So at 45 years old I am having wisdom teeth removed. Thankfully they are not impacted or anything I just cracked one of them Friday so no more waiting...he is doing the left side lower and upper.

And get this...I am allergic to the numbing stuff, my BP & history prevents the sedation so I get mine removed with NOTHING. I do get a valium before I go. Did I mention DH is going to hold me down?

Last year I had the right lower done and DH had to hold my hands because I tried to punch the poor dentist.

Finally he just sat on my knees and held me there. So...tomorrow should be a blast!

I HATE DENTISTS! Not that they are not nice people but their jobs STINK!

i hate it i hate it i hate it.....

if it didnt hurt everytime i ate i would just leave it. its the my top left back molar. but the wisdom tooth is impacting it...

Ok I may get smacked for this but.....I love the dentist. Nice comfy chair to lie in, pleasent clove smell in the air, no stirrups in sight and I get to keep all my clothes on. Yep loving the dentist over an ob/gyn anyday

I did braces for a while. No big deal because my orthodontist was awesome.

I don't do dentists though. The last one was an *choice word here* and I haven't gone back since I was 14!

DH needs 2 root canals and I'm just glad it's him, not me

Most dentists in CT, and I'm assuming elsewhere, have xanax or valium
in their offices. A dose of one of those will make things a lot more
comfortable.

I have my regular cleaning this Wednesday! Weird!! I use to be dentist-phobic after one bad experience. It took a while and I did get over it. I don't mind going for routine things at all anymore. I occasionally have to have a filling replaced but that's been it lately. I'm hoping it stays that way!

One of those will kill the anxiety and relax you. They can both be addictive
but a single dose won't hurt you unless you have a history of drug
abuse. I usually take one before giving blood to help me with my
needle hatred.
