Ok - heck of a way to indtroduce myself to the group. I've been trolling around for some time now, built my coop using suggestions on here and have had great luck so far. I have 6 chickens in my coop (the limit I placed on space) and three are laying well. I am hoping that the three that aren't laying are still getting some age on them (had all of them about 3 months) and are preparing to grace us with eggs.
However, one of the three non-layers is starting to give me some concern about its ability to lay eggs. I'm not sure its plumbed correctly for egg production. So here's the question:
Is this a hen or a rooster (the copper maran in full profile)?
This is my first attempt at having chickens and I've got a lot to learn! Thanks for your help.
