is there a leg tag that i can mark my birds with that

A cheap way to do it is to use thin strips of velcro since it can be adjusted as the chick grows. You can buy different colors to mark breed or sex. SundownWaterfowl uses the velcro. Just a cheap suggestion anyway.

Yes! They are called plastic leg bandettes and you can get them numbered or non-numbered

You can check in your knitting/yarn section in local stores. The spirals are the same as the knitting row markers. About the same price also. Come in a variety of colors and sizes.​
