Is there a problem with my duck's neck?

I have a question about my duck that I'm hoping one of you can answer for me.

One of my pekins holds her neck pulled into your body all the time lately - not stretched out like her sister or like she used to do. I've picked her up and palpated her neck and nothing seems to hurt her. I see her occasionally lengthen her neck, but mostly she keeps it pulled in. To describe it better would be to say her neck is in the position it would be if she was laying on the ground resting.


Any idea what might be the problem or why?

No drakes, just a sister. 10 adult chickens and many young newcomers. But she started that before the newcomers joined the flock. The 10 chickens are all females and the ducks and chickens don't bother each other at all.

I don't think she's cold. She does this even on warm days.

Have you tried anything that would soothe her throat? ACV in water? Cooled weak chamomile tea?

No, I haven't tried anything yet. Because I can't tell if there really IS something wrong with her.

We were wondering if anything was ever discovered with this? We are having the same issue with a couple of our ducks.
