Is there a reason that we do not have the views column?

Is there a reason that we do not have the views column like on Backyard herds? I always wondered why it was on the other forums but not here.

I think I read somewhere that it takes up to much storage space trying to keep track of how many people view a post.

It was something we did to streamline the system. It wasn't so much a space issue as millions of extra database reads and writes happening all the time. We have it on our list as a potential thing to add back in, but it is towards the bottom of the list.
