of when to feed what to the chicks? I have 10 chicks comming on May16th. Egg layers. Is there a timetable of when to start what? You know, starting with the start and grow and working down when to start replacing stuff and adding stuff. Like the laying, gravel, oyster shells, scratch, treats, ect...

I had one chicken in college and my father would buy the feed and stuff. He also bought something that her gave her that you mixed with water and he called it mash? What is that????

You can keep them on chick starter for the first 4 months or so, give or take, and then go to a grower or finisher. If they are on the ground, you don't need to worry about grit, if they are not, then supply grit. You don't need to worry about oyster shells until they start laying. I have some more info on my site HERE . Good luck!
